If you prefer to simply lend funds to a trading property company or Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) then you can earn 8-10% per annum.
Security is usually provided via a legal charge against the property, and an assignment over any rental income (giving you the right to any surplus company rental income) along with personal guarantees from the company directors.
